It Starts In The Heart

" What man is there who is fearful and fainthearted?Let him go and return to his house, lest the heart of his brethren faint like his heart" Deuteronomy 20:8

Faintheartedness is much greater than simple fear. Rather than work through the fear, faintheartedness empowers fear to control our actions. It is full of words like "can't" and "impossible". And worst of all, it is contagious! It infects our actions and conversations. We serve a God who makes the impossible possible and HE has chosen to do this first in the hearts of people. Let's open our hearts to God's spirit and close it to lesser things like fear and doubt. Remember "All Men Die, Few Men Ever Really Live"- William Wallace

Giving Up to Gain

Not my will, but Yours be done. LUKE 22:42

Well it is in fact the new year and we all talk about "resolutions" which require us to give up something to gain. Ponder this, Not only is this a statement of submission, but of wisdom. For in that one statement we can place our hopes, dreams, plans, and projects into the hands of God who wants to bless us more than we want to bless ourselves. We want answers that seem to be best for the now. God wants answers that are best for our tomorrows, and only HE knows what our tomorrows hold. So say this to give up and gain " Father, in your hands I commit my life's path and problems.
